PLEASING THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU

One day a man and his son decided to visit a relative four towns away. The man took his donkey with them as their means of transportation. The man decided to let his son ride the donkey as they walked towards the first town. "Look at how the young ones act today, they don't even care for their parents,” one vendor said to his customer. “I agree. Look at how he enjoys riding the donkey while his father is very tired of walking." Embarrassed, the kid decided to let his father ride until the next town.

But while threading the road of the town, the father was the one who received a comment. "Look at how parents treat their child these days. I pity the poor young boy," said by an old lady as if she intended that she will be heard by the man riding the donkey. The father felt too embarrassed, thus they decided to both ride the donkey so that they won't hear another comment in the next town.

This is what they heard. “Sigh. How people treat animals! It’s still a living creature so it deserves mercy and a little respect. Poor donkey, it looks like it's going to pass out and die anytime soon. Such heartless people.”

Confused of what to do they thought of a way so that they won't hear anything on the last town. But... "HAHAHAHAHA!! Look at those two idiots carrying the donkey instead of riding on top of it!" And the rest of the people who saw them kept on laughing at them.

Moral Lesson: There’s no sense trying to please everyone around you. There will always be some people who won’t be pleased by your means of doing things. Learn not to be affected and just do your thing, what you believe is right, what you think is more suited or what you feel comfortable with. It is your life so live it your way and learn not to give a damn sometimes.
